Project overview
Drywall Machines worked on the refurbishment of three old mills that are part of Manchester's history, dating back around 200 years. A new building was constructed to link them, creating four large apartment blocks with a private yard, a detached house and a semi-detached house in the middle. We joined at the middle stage and helped deliver the project.
Challenges
Multiple drawing revisions to track throughout
The largest number of details, specs and wall and ceiling types in any of our project packs
Compliance with British Standards for fire protection and soundproofing, achieved with the help of British Gypsum engineers
Safety and result
Despite the complexity, the number of accidents was kept very low, and the few minor incidents were fully investigated to prevent further issues. It is the most complicated job Drywall Machines has taken part in.
