A smooth, durable finish for walls and ceilings
Multi-finish and board-finish plaster are used on everything from small projects to large developments. Applied to manufacturer guidance, they give a smooth, hard-wearing finish with less dust on site than sanding joints, and they add to the fire protection of walls and ceilings.
For the best result we recommend plastering all walls and ceilings and snagging them properly under a task light. It adds a little time, but the difference shows once the room is decorated.

Plastering questions answered
Do you plaster over plasterboard or old walls?
Both. We skim new plasterboard walls and ceilings and also plaster as part of refurbishments, where existing surfaces are prepared first.
Plastering or tape and jointing: which is better?
A plaster skim gives a hard, smooth surface and adds to fire protection. Tape and jointing leaves the board face as the finish and suits some feature details and boards. The specification normally decides, and we can advise on private jobs.
How long before I can decorate new plaster?
New plaster has to dry fully first. Drying time depends on the thickness, the time of year and ventilation. We will advise on the job, and plasterboard systems generally dry far quicker than traditional backgrounds.
Do you take on private plastering jobs?
Yes. Alongside commercial work we plaster for homeowners and landlords, often as part of a wider renovation. See supply and fit for private clients.
