FAQ
Glass polishing questions answered
Can scratched glass really be polished out?
In many cases, yes. Using abrasive grinding and polishing, we remove scratches, welding spatter and surface damage and restore optical clarity, including on glass that others said was beyond repair. Send us a photo or arrange a visit and we will tell you whether polishing is the right fix.
Does polishing weaken the glass?
No. Our process restores the surface of the existing pane and is carried out without compromising its structural integrity.
Do you work on site?
Yes. Ours is a fully mobile service. We restore glass in place on construction sites, at homes and at commercial premises across Salford, Greater Manchester, North West England and West Yorkshire.
Which types of glass can you restore?
Window panels, balcony and balustrade glass, staircase glass barriers, glass edge parapets and shopfront glazing, plus vehicle windscreens, side and rear glass, headlights and tail lights, fridge doors and glass steps.
Is polishing cheaper than replacing the glass?
Restoring the pane you already have removes the cost of new glass, delivery and refitting, and avoids the waste of throwing good glass away. Tell us about the job and we will talk you through the options.
